If the GB3s / 132 does not sync with the LED mat, the LED colors do not change, or there is a connection issue between the board and the app, the possible causes are as follows:
- Insufficient amperage of the USB adapter
- The USB cable connecting the LED MAT PC BOX to the GB3s / 132 is a charge-only cable and does not support data transmission
- Using both AA batteries and a USB power supply in the GRANBOARD3
- The LED MAT sync setting in the GranBoard app is turned off
"1. Insufficient amperage of the USB adapter"
Two power supplies are needed for the LED MAT PC BOX.
LED MAT power = 2.4 amps or higher
GB3s / 132 power = 1.5 amps or higher (2.4 amps is recommended)
If the amperage is below these values, it can cause insufficient power supply, leading to malfunction.
A common example is a USB adapter with two ports and a maximum output of 2.4 amps. If both ports are used, each port may only supply 1.2 amps, which may result in insufficient power, preventing proper LED lighting.
"2. The USB cable connecting the LED MAT PC BOX to the GB3s / 132 is a charge-only cable and does not support data transmission"
The LED mat color changes are controlled by signals sent from the app to the board and relayed through the LED MAT PC BOX to the mat. If the USB cable used between the LED MAT PC BOX and GB3s / 132 does not support data transmission, the color changes may not occur properly.
*The USB cable included with the GB3s / 132 supports data transmission.
"3. Using both AA batteries and a USB power supply in the GRANBOARD3s / 132"
If you are using AA batteries to power the board, remove them and try using only the USB power supply.
USB power is required to properly use the LEDs on the GRANBOARD3s. Having AA batteries inserted at the same time may prevent the board from functioning correctly.
"4. The LED MAT sync setting in the GranBoard app is turned off"
Please check the "LED" section in the settings on the app's home screen to ensure that the GRAN MAT LED sync setting is turned on.
