Causes When the Camera Cannot Be Found

Modified on Fri, Aug 1 at 5:04 PM

What to do if the camera is lit green but cannot be connected to the app

Even if the GRAN EYE camera’s LED is lit green (Wi-Fi connected), it may not appear in the app or may cause a connection error. The following issues are likely causes.

Possible Causes and Solutions

01 The camera and device are connected to different Wi-Fi routers

  1. Check that the GRAN EYE camera and your smartphone/tablet are connected to the same Wi-Fi router (SSID).
  2. If your network has separate names for 2.4GHz and 5GHz, make sure both the camera and device are connected to the same band.

02 The app does not have the necessary permissions

To detect the camera over Wi-Fi, the GRAN DARTS app needs appropriate permissions depending on your OS. Without them, it cannot find the camera.

For iOS

Go to Settings > Apps > GRAN DARTS and enable "Local Network" access.

For Android

Go to Settings > Apps > GRAN DARTS > Permissions, and allow the following:

  • Location (required to detect Wi-Fi devices)
  • Nearby Devices (for Android 12 and above)
