Auto Forfeit Conditions on GRAN ONLINE

Modified on Fri, Nov 15 at 8:02 PM

Auto forfeit definition:

To ensure smooth tournament progress, our system includes an auto-forfeit feature that automatically forfeits players who do not show up when the timer ends. This feature accounts for situations where players may have other commitments, forget their match, or encounter similar issues.

Conditions Triggering Auto Forfeit by Game Format:

Local Doubles & Singles:

  • Unstable internet connection
  • Network issues

Remote Doubles:

  • One player is not in the waiting room
  • One player experiences network issues

Both players on a team must be in the waiting room while waiting to move to the match room or for the forfeit timer to expire. If one player is absent when the system checks, an auto-forfeit will be triggered.
For your reference, please see the example in the picture attached below.

Double Default in a Match Card:

  • Both teams/players do not show up
  • One team/player does not show up, and the other team/player experiences internet issues

Prevention Tips:

  • Ensure a stable internet connection
  • Remind your partner to be online and ready
  • Be prepared to avoid missing your match

Caution!

There are certain situations that may disrupt your internet connection, causing disconnection from the server and potentially leading to an auto-forfeit during a match. These include:

  • Switching applications while in a match or waiting room
  • Sudden system messages on iOS devices (e.g., low battery alerts)
